Mumbai: The makers of Koffee With Karan Season 9 have unveiled the promo for the third episode, promising an entertaining mix of candid conversations, playful banter and unexpected revelations. Featuring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor as the main guests, the episode also includes a surprise appearance by Arjun Kapoor during the rapid-fire round, with an amusing reference to actor-politician Ravi Kishan becoming one of the highlights.
The one-minute-and-10-second promo shows the three celebrities in a fun-filled mood as they tease each other, reveal behind-the-scenes stories and keep the laughter going throughout the episode. From Varun climbing onto the table to playfully throwing paper at Janhvi, the promo hints at a lively and energetic episode.
Karan Johar Reveals He Once Stopped Talking to Varun and Janhvi
The promo opens with host Karan Johar joking that the upcoming guests are not going to be very “well-behaved” on his couch. It then reveals that Karan had once stopped speaking to both Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
While the reason behind the fallout has not been disclosed in the promo, Janhvi says the situation left her so stressed that she gained weight. Varun adds that Karan had become extremely dramatic during that period, comparing him to Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic character from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, saying he behaved with a “Mera Haq Hai” attitude.
Arjun Kapoor Joins the Rapid-Fire Round
The biggest twist in the promo comes when Arjun Kapoor joins Varun and Janhvi during the rapid-fire segment. Asked whose advice he would seek on both career and marriage, Varun immediately names Arjun Kapoor, drawing laughter from everyone on the couch.
Ravi Kishan Mention Sparks Laughter
During another rapid-fire question, Karan asks Janhvi Kapoor which Instagram account always posts entertaining content. Without hesitation, she replies with Ravi Kishan’s name before recreating his popular phrase with Arjun Kapoor, saying, “Money follows my brother,” adding another humorous moment to the episode.

Along with the promo, Karan Johar confirmed that the third episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9 will premiere on Wednesday at 7 pm on JioHotstar. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, he described the episode as one filled with fun, affection and a very special guest.
